"Mushrooms and Slugs" was a knit sculpture created for the 2016 Paper House on Governor's Island, a project of the Dysfunctional Collective. A number of artists contributed work to the Paper House, which comprised four rooms, each based on a different season. "Mushrooms and Slugs" was included in the "spring" room. Visitors to the Paper House were invited to interact with the art in each room and to make their own paper works onsite that they could add to the installation.
